This site is a tribute to my partner, Mick Wheeler, and my Dad, Eddie Evans, who were both much loved and will always be remembered.
They enjoyed having a beer and a chat together in life - hope they are still doing that where they are!
I am starting this fund with a donation to mark my retirement (July 2020) and hope to add to it from time to time. Struggling to carry out the most basic tasks every day due to being unable to breathe properly is no joke . Anything that helps to improve the quality of life for those living with a lung impairment has to be good.

Or part of the past
You are mine to remember
As long as life lasts "

I can't count the number if times that I have tried to get rid of your clothes in the last 4 years . I did manage to throw away some " post-stroke" clothes which weren't really "you" - just stuff that was more comfortable and easier to get on and off! A few days ago, I went to the clothes pegs in the under- stairs cupboard and took 3 of your coats out - 2 really good shooting/ countryside jackets and the thick green fleece jacket that you wore everywhere in the last few years of your life. I decided to put your Bronte Tweed jacket on Vinted and see if it sold. If I remember rightly, you bought this one at a Game Fair - a really heavy, warm coat, but it was always slightly too big for you. Well, it sold within the hour - someone will be pleased to have got this bargain - a beautiful quality, warm coat. Another £12 to BLF. I washed and dried the other 2 coats, and, as Kev was down from Scotland this week, asked if he could use the other tweed shooting coat. He didn't think it would fit him, but tried it on, and it was a perfect fit. He is going to try the fleece jacket as well. So, I am happy to have been able to pass 2 jackets on to Kevin yo use and to have made a little bit more for BLF with the other one.
Mick - way back in 1990, the task of arranging your Dad's funeral fell to us both. At the time, I put all the paperwork in an envelope, knowing that the money that came in had been enough to cover any bills and the funeral costs with a little bit left over, and never looked at it again until recently. Well, now I have looked at it finally - after over 23 years and it worked out that there was £66 left over after funeral costs etc.( £ some of this was in old bank notes that I have had to change at the bank branch! -£20 of your Dad's, returned by the hospice, and some money from your Dad's sister in lieu of flowers! ) So I am.paying that £66 in to this fund. I have sent the paperwork I had to your niece, Janet, as there could be something there that she wants to keep xx
