Karen 27th October 2024

Well, it's been a while! The wonderful, kind person that was lucky to call my Mum left us on 29th November last year. She struggled massively in the last few years to maintain her independence, and was amazing in managing to do almost everything for herself, no matter how long it took, and how hard it was. But Jehovah called her home, far too soon for me, but I'm grateful to have had her so long. Mum, I nevervtruly appreciated just how good you were - to faced many chalkenges- financial, moral and cultural over the years, and many people might have given up, walkwd away or lowered their standards , but you never stopped nurturing, caring and supporting us all. My last rock now gone............ but never forgotten. So to this little donation - Mick- there was a little crocodile skin ( or alligator?) in the cellar. I've no idea where you got it from- you might have said, but I dont remember or what you wanted it for - possibly to use for the walking stick handles you used to make or something similar? Anyway, I decided to take it to the auction house... and it made £23 after commission, so not bad! I couldnt resist saying to Bridgette the auction lady, that it had been " snapped up" :-)
